Breakfast and Lunch Program

Back-to-School Update: Student Meals for the 2026–2027 School Year

As families prepare for the start of the new school year in August, we'd like to share an important update about student meals.

The Mill Valley School District is pleased to announce that the Board of Trustees has approved a new partnership with Revolution Foods as the District's student meal provider for the 2026–2027 school year.

This decision followed a comprehensive review of three meal providers—Revolution Foods, LunchMaster (our previous provider), and Ordo Foods. The evaluation included blind taste tests with students, parents, and staff, as well as careful consideration of food quality, cost, operational needs, waste reduction efforts, and equipment requirements.

We're especially excited that Revolution Foods was the top choice among student taste testers. The thoughtful feedback from students, families, and staff helped guide the District's decision to select a provider that offers nutritious, appealing, and sustainable meal options.

Families will receive additional information at the beginning of August about the lunch program, including how to order meals for the upcoming school year. We look forward to introducing this new meal program and continuing to provide students with healthy, delicious choices throughout the school year.
